I enjoyed the Fish Platter very much. It consisted of 2-large pieces of Whiting fish, a bed of yellow rice, and a small but satisfying fresh salad (lettuces, cubed tomatoes, thinly sliced onions, very lite sprinkle of oil and vinegar), 2-small sides of tartar sauce, and 1-can of soda of your choice. I had not visited that restaurant in oh, 30 years. My dad use to take me and my family there after we'd close our business at night. The young man behind the counter greeted me with a smile. I don't eat chicken anymore, so I asked specifically for fish and rice. He showed me the menu on the wall and made a good suggestion of the meal I just described. I paid, and sat for perhaps 10-minutes waiting as my meal was prepared. It was after 8 P.M. and it wasn't very busy. When it was ready, he called to the counter so I could look at the presentation. I said, "It looks good!" The Cook, peaked out at me and said, "Of course!" LOL! It was more than I expected and the price was right. I'm glad I stopped in.

OK. Seriously. This place CANNOT be beat for price, hole-in-the-wall atmosphere and delicious chicken. $4.99 gets you a four piece dark every piece delicious. You can get your classic Jamaican patty and I cannot recommend highly enough banana pudding. I'd go for the smaller container with the nilla wafers on top and real bananas studded throughout. Pretty much the only thing I do not recommend are the rolls. They are cheap they are crappy and 10 minutes after you get them they are inedible. Mac & cheese is also excellent as is the mashed potatoes with gravy. Bear in mind that this IS a drive-through. The parking lot is a little wonky and you gotta be a little bit careful. Also right next-door to a White Castle so you can double your pleasure, double your fun. Be aware that if you show up at crazy frog o'clock as I did - close to 5 AM Saturday night - some of their stuff will NOT be available. But that was my second stop as I stopped there on my way through Thursday night at a more reasonable hour and got everything I wanted. But I couldn't stop thinking about the chicken so I had to grab some before heading home. I haven't even begun to touch on your menu which is insane. Make sure you leave time to read it up and down if you're doing the drive-through or even if you're going inside.

Good taste great. The have baked chicken that is also amazing. Service is amazing and the staff is nice.

The best fried chicken in all of newark. Golden and fresh. Friendly staff Plenty of parking. They have a drive through as well.

Really good food, But as we use to call this spot "Crenshaw" *Menace To Society movie.....DONT b around after party and wanna grab an bite to eat You'll end up BEING the party

The chicken here is always a hit ! You know how you go to some places where it's like a hit a miss after a certain time . Well here from the time they open to the time their closed it's soooo good ! I hear the other food is good as well .
